In mid-2009, Pete Reilly interviewed dozens of COO’s and CIO’s in the retail and restaurant space. Based on those discussions, it was obvious that these businesses had exhausted near term cost cutting efforts. Focus had turned to customer retention, acquisition, conversion and average ticket.
Meanwhile new technologies were emerging – like mobile computing, social media, and cloud computing. Pete saw that innovative use of these and other technologies could help retail and restaurant brands transform the customer experience and differentiate themselves in the market.
This led to the creation of Retality – a firm dedicated to helping retailers and restaurant companies leverage technology to transform the customer experience.
