RETALITY is led by Pete Reilly, a respected and innovative leader in retail and restaurant technology.

Pete joined Accenture (then Arthur Anderson) after graduating from Union College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics. While with Accenture, he developed deep retail and restaurant expertise - building solutions and managing projects for Pizza Hut, Chick-fil-A, WH Smith, Blockbuster and others.

Pete was then recruited by Blockbuster’s CIO to head up information technology efforts for the video stores.  Here, Pete led a team of over 70 development and support resources with responsibility for all store and corporate systems – including one of the largest customer databases in retail. Projects included implementation of debit card acceptance and the ability to rent at any Blockbuster store.

Wanting to move back to Atlanta, Pete joined Radiant Systems.  Radiant’s co-founder and CEO Erez Goren asked Pete to help the company enter the restaurant vertical.  Pete worked with Chick-fil-A to create a new point-of-sale solution which became the basis for Radiant’s food service division.

Pete then worked with Goren to build a new business around web-based applications for retail. Pete led sales and marketing efforts into the retail and restaurant industries with Radiant's web-based product - Radiant Enterprise.

Pete contributed to the growth of Radiant through IPO – and from 100 to over 1000 people – when Radiant spun out BlueCube Software in 2004. As part of BlueCube’s founding team, Pete was charged with sales and marketing for the BlueCube's retail workforce management software business – a suite of SaaS products for retailers.

When RedPrairie acquired BlueCube Software in 2006, Pete became Division SVP/GM with full P&L responsibility for the retail workforce management (WFM) software business. In this role, he was responsible for the product, consulting, sales and support teams.  In 2008, Gartner named the BlueCube/RedPrairie WFM solution tops in the retail industry ahead of much larger competition.

In 2008, RedPrairie’s CEO asked Pete to drive business in the retail vertical for RedPrairie across all product lines including workforce management, store inventory and supply chain.

In mid-2009, after speaking with dozens of COO’s and CIO’s in the retail and restaurant space, Pete saw that these businesses had exhausted near term cost cutting efforts.  Focus had turned to customer retention, acquisition, conversion and average ticket.  At the same time, new technologies were emerging – like mobile, social media, and cloud computing.  Pete saw that innovative use of these and other technologies could help retail and restaurant brands transform the customer experience and differentiate themselves in the market. This led to the creation of Retality – a firm dedicated to helping retailers and restaurant companies leverage technology to transform the customer experience.
